Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Engineer to join an expanding Company based in Oxford. This role would suit a candidate who is looking for a varied role within a busy Service department and is looking for the opportunity to progress their career within the service industry.

This role will play an integral part in providing first line on site and technical support to effectively install, service and maintain the vending equipment of Connect Vending clients to ensure the highest levels of service are delivered at all times.

Callouts

  • To respond to individual callouts issued from the office.
  • Liaise with client on arrival.
  • Investigate reason for callout, diagnose fault and repair where possible.
  • Complete all paperwork following Company procedures.
  • Inform client of work carried out, ensuring client contact final signature.
  • Report into office on completion of each call, providing appropriate service codes and attendance times to close the call.
  • Order replacement parts with the Service Desk as required quoting relevant part numbers.

Installation

  • To install machines at clients address following Company procedures.
  • Liaise with client on arrival.
  • Complete all paperwork following Company procedures.
  • Record all opening meter readings of installed machines.
  • Record all closing meter readings of decommissioned machines where applicable.
  • Inform client of work carried out, ensuring client contact final signature.
  • Report into office on completion.

Planned Maintenance

  • To ensure filter replacement schedules are kept up to date.
  • Identify and attend to machines requiring de-scaling.

General Duties

  • Notify the Line Manager of any training requirements.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment is maintained in a useable condition.
  • Ensure correct uniform is worn at all times and notify the Line Manager of any replacements required.
  • Maintain and monitor levels of spare parts stock held on vehicle.
  • Ensure efficient/effective use of working time.
  • Liaise with other departments when necessary.
  • To immediately report any customer dissatisfaction or potential loss of business to the Operations Manager.
  •  To advise the sales department of any identified new business opportunities.
  • Always promote Connect Vending in a professional manner.
  • To work within AVA Quality Manual Guidelines and standards
  • Ensuring Health & Safety legislation is adhered to all times an notify your line manager of any areas of concern.

Key Skills Required

  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Service Engineer in the vending industry.
  • Experience of working on N&W, Wittenborg, Westmatic and Stentorfield machine manufactures.
  • Good organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence.
  • Good Timekeeping skills.
  • IT literate – Excel & Microsoft Word.
