Water Cooler FAQs
What type of water cooler dispenser can I buy for my office?
These water coolers from Borg and Overström are available as floor standing and countertop with options for ambient, sparkling, chilled and hot water. Unlike traditional water coolers, these are plumbed into the mains and filtered using B&O’s 5 step Totality treatment for clean, crisp water in every cup. If you’re looking for something that will integrate into your kitchen, such as a dispenser for water cooler units that fit under your counter, try out our water taps range.
How often should I clean a water cooler?
Depending on the level of usage and the hardness of your water, your filter will need to be changed every 6-12 months. As part of our Service & Maintenance plan, you can rest assured that one of our engineers will be scheduled to make this change for you so that you don’t have to. Meanwhile, it’s always good practice to wipe down the exterior of the water cooler for office spaces with a mild detergent or antibacterial spray to prevent the spread of viruses in the workplace. Do water coolers offer both hot and cold water?
Not all water coolers offer both, but our Borg and Overström water cooler and boiler units do.
Do point-of-use water coolers need a filter?
We always recommend using a filter to ensure the health of both you and your machine.
Are water coolers energy efficient?
This depends on the model, but you can rest assured that Borg and Overström have taken many steps to ensure that their water dispensers are as eco conscious as possible. For example, the E6 features advanced EcoMode technology that puts the machine to sleep when it detects the room is dark for a period of time, so you can be sure your machine is resting when you are.
