VENDING MACHINE SERVICING & MAINTENANCE.

We have a philosophy at Connect Vending to be exceptional at what we do.

What does this mean? Delivering exceptional vending machine servicing (think of it as a car getting a service every 10,000 miles) and vending machine maintenance support (for fixes). We pride ourselves on delivering this excellent service not only for the lifetime of your machine/s, but for the duration of your working relationship with us.

The options we offer for servicing and vending machine maintenance are bespoke to you and your business, as we know every business is different and it's rarely a one-size-fits-all. As part of our consultation process, we will discuss these different vending machine servicing options and help you select the most appropriate plan to support you and your business.

Vending Machine Service Plans

Why service my vending machine?

A vending machine service can apply to your snack vending machine, smart fridge, drink vending machine or even cold or hot water dispenser.

You wouldn’t skip servicing your brand new car (sooner or later you’d end up on the side of the road calling your breakdown service). It’s the same for vending machines. We can’t overstate how vital it is to schedule your vending machine service regularly. It’s a great preventative for many issues and can avoid breakdowns and downtime.

How do I know when my vending machine service is due?

Luckily, we have almost 30 years of experience in the industry, so our engineers know exactly when your vending machine needs a service. All you need to do is confirm a good day for our engineer to visit – we take care of all the admin for you.

What are the benefits of a vending machine service plan?

A vending machine service plan means you can spread the cost and there’s no surprises. Remember the car analogy? It’s like having a car service plan to spread out the bulk payment and avoid it all falling in one month.

It also minimises the hassle for you, as we handle all the admin. When you’re a HR, facilities or office manager, there’s plenty on your plate. We make sure we handle everything so that you don’t have to.

When problems occur, downtime is never good. Keeping your machines in good working order means we can catch your coffee machine grinder before it perishes, ensure your water filter isn’t clogged with limescale, keep your coffee taste and quality consistent and your snack machine fridge in tip top condition.

A regular vending machine service schedule is good for you – and good for us and the planet in that we can keep delivering you excellent service on our regular routes. We’re able to make our engineer’s journeys more efficient with predictable scheduled routes, maintaining the service levels our existing customers have come to expect.

Vending Machine Maintenance

Why get a vending machine maintenance plan?

Anything you can get a vending machine service plan for, you can get a vending machine maintenance plan for. That includes office coffee machines, your fresh food vending machine, snack vending machines, smart fridge, commercial drink dispensers, office water dispensers and more.

How do I decide if I need a vending machine maintenance plan?

We like to make sure there’s no nasty surprises when you purchase or lease a vending machine from us.

Depending on your vending machine, how it is operated and its warranty, all parts are included while it is still in warranty. That means if your office coffee machine has a 5 year warranty, parts are generally included in the cost for 5 years. So, you don’t usually have to worry about parts when your machine is new.

However, if your vending machine breaks down, there is a callout cost associated with this. Life happens and although all our machines are fully tested in-house, to the point of being plug and play when we install, you can never 100% guarantee the future.

There are several measures we use to give you the Connect Vending “perfect start” – and one of these measures is that we don’t have to return to fix anything. Fingers crossed we won’t, but a vending machine maintenance plan means you’re covered an unlimited number of initial callout costs and extra labour (depending how long the fix takes).

How quickly can you get to me in the event of a vending machine breakdown?

At Connect Vending, we’re proud of our vending machine service stats and like to think it makes us exceptional when you compare us to our competitors. Why? See below…

  • We attend 85% of service calls within 4 working hours…
  • And 100% within 8 working hours
  • We keep 98% commonly replaced parts in our engineer’s vans and that means…
  • We maintain a 90% first time fix rate

That is the standard we set for ourselves, our engineers and for the expectations of our customers, regardless of if they have a maintenance plan or not. We don’t expect you to expect anything less.

What are the benefits of a vending machine maintenance plan?

Like our vending machine service plans, a vending machine maintenance plan allows you to cover the costs of unlimited callouts and on-site engineer time, making monthly costs predictable, with no surprises! If there’s a major breakdown, you’re not paying by the hour for the engineer’s time.

We handle all the admin for you, so that all you have to do is let us know the best date and time for you.

When machines break, which is normally the case for a callout, it can lead to disgruntled employees and unimpressed visitors. Having a plan in place makes sure you’re covered and don’t rack up the bills, just in case.

Ad-Hoc Vending Machine Maintenance

Some of our clients prefer to opt for a ‘reactive’ plan which covers engineer callouts as and when a vending repair service is required.

Of course this may be the right option for you, but we don’t usually recommend this, especially when your machine reaches a few years old or is out of warranty.

Ad-hoc engineer visits can be costly and will not be covered in the same way as they would under a more comprehensive agreement, say if the fix takes longer than expected.

Think of it like car insurance – you hope you won’t need it, but it’s an absolute lifesaver if you do.

FAQs

What Is The Difference Between a Vending Machine Maintenance Plan and Callout Plan?

A vending machine Maintenance Plan is best suited for those clients who prefer to stock and operate their own vending machines, but don’t want the hassle of dealing with machine downtime or technical issue.

By having a Maintenance Plan in place, you’re outsourcing this technical element to Connect Vending, with our expert engineers visiting site whenever you have issues, and the cost of this being covered by the fee you pay for the plan.

Under a Callout Plan, you’re not able to access the same level of support from our Engineer team, and will instead be paying for callouts on an ad-hoc basis if something goes wrong. This can be costly and does not offer the same peace of mind for machine faults as our Fully Managed Service or Maintenance Plans do.

What Is The Difference Between a Vending Machine Servicing Plan and a Fully Managed Plan?

A fully managed plan covers all aspects of servicing and maintenance, including machine stocking and rotation, cleaning and machine maintenance, as well as comprehensive technical support should anything happen to your machines.

A vending machine servicing plan will not give you this same level of support, and will only cover technical aspects, not machine operation, stock management and rotation or cleaning.
